Schmidt

Dr. Ing. Franziska Schmidt is a senior research engineer (ENTPE Engineering diploma in 2005, MSc and PhD of INSA - Lyon in 2005 and 2009 respectively, Habilitation in 2017, Data scientist from LECEPE/ENSAE/ENSAI in 2018), working at Université Gustave Eiffel (ex-Ifsttar) on the vulnerability of road infrastructure to natural and man-made actions.

She has been involved in several European research projects, for example ITN Marie Curie projects (TEAM, Infrastar), FP7 (TRANSFORMERS), H2020 (ENSEMBLE, PANOPTIS, HERON), CEDR Projects (Re-gen, FALCON), and national French projects.

She also intervenes in expert knowledge studies on the assessment of existing structures to traffic and climatic actions. She is part of several WGs, from various associations (CEDR, FIB, IABSE).

She lectures in several French engineering schools (ENPC, ENTPE, ESIPE) about Eurocode 2 application and reliability theory.
