Dr.-Ing-Habil. Boumediene Nedjar is a senior researcher (MSc in 1991 at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, a PhD in 1995 at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, and Habilitation in 2008 at Université Paris-Est).
He is working at Université Gustave Eiffel (ex-Ifsttar) on Computational Mechanics. He has also held the positions of Assistant Professor in Structural Mechanics at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (1997-2013), and Professor of Solid Mechanics at Ecole National Supérieure de Techniques Avancées (ENSTA ParisTech, 2013-2017).
His research topics are: 3D concrete printing, early-age concrete, internal swelling reactions, anisotropic gradient damage mechanics, finite strain poromechanics, soft shell structures in large deformations.
